Reviews about All Pets Club
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆April 15, 2020, by Mike StafstromI had stopped in to grab my pup a treat when my fiancee and I went for frozen yogurt. I would not shop here again. Let me start by saying I know people who work with animals professionally. I know rescues, I know zookeepers. I know zoo docents. Being candid, I am also close with people who work in the pet supplies industry for other companies. I know some people have impossible standards of care regarding animals. I do not think I am one of them. I know perfection does not exist in terms of conditions and logistically making every animal lover happy is impossible. The dogs were in small rooms with ripped up newspaper thrown all over the floor. The dogs were even using some of the paper, which likely was used as a dog urinal, to chew on. They seemed starved for attention, and huddled close as if desperate to feel a familar touch. These were definitely puppy mill dogs, and the store was asking as much as $2,500 depending on breed. The rodents in the back were not much better. There was a guinea pug labeled as a rabbit on the cage, which ran in fear as soon as anyone walked by. Rather than put a top on the enclosure for him, people would have been able to reach down and touch the guinea pig whenever they wanted. Even though a note said not to, I doubt it was closely adhered to by all patrons. This likely caused the guinea pig's anxiety when people walked by. I can't say these animals are mistreated or not properly cared for. However, nothing made me feel right about this store. My fiancee had tears in her eyes as she left, upset about their condition. The fish area was nice, and offered selection, but not worth overlooking the condition of the mammals. As for the pet supplies, the place was cluttered and difficult to navigate. We were not greated when we walked in or asked if we could use any help navigating the labyrinth of a store. Prices seemed on the high side, but I am usually OK with that when shopping at a Mom and Pop store. Typically I would rather support a local business, but not in this case. All in all, I would not go back. Ever.
